Possenhofen Castle is in danger! Count Arkas has learned that Sissi's family has fallen out of favor at the imperial court and Duke Max has been banished. Now he sees his hour to seize Possenhofen. He tells Ludovika that her husband managed to escape from exile. Now he has gone into hiding in Paris and is longingly waiting to see his family again.
