Count Arkas lost his memory in an accident at the Venice train station. He remembers neither his name nor his criminal intentions. Meanwhile, Sissi and Franz enjoy the good fortune of finally being together again. But the joy seems to be short-lived - Sissi is already secretly planning her departure. She wants to leave Venice to look for her father - without Franz! After all, she still feels bound by her promise not to tell him about the intrigues against her and her family. The city celebrates carnival. So Sissi decides to spend another night in Venice.
