Sissi believes she has achieved her dreams: Empress Sophie has given her blessing to marry Franz. Under this condition, Franz wants to resume the succession to the throne. Now the peace treaty with Hungary is finally to be signed. The Hungarian Morgasz and his troops still know nothing about the end of the war. When they meet the fugitive Zottornik, they arrest him as a prisoner of war. A little later, Helene also falls into their hands. Triumphantly, Morgasz sends a report to Vienna that she has been captured. The news delayed the signing of the peace treaties.
