Sissi and Toni have reached the Hungarian border. They learn the terrible news from fleeing citizens: Austria and Hungary are preparing for war because everyone believes that Sissi was murdered! Horrified, Sissi tries to convince the Hungarian soldiers that she is still alive. But in vain: the princess is not recognized. Disguised as Austrian soldiers, Sissi and Toni try to cross the border. Commanding Sergeant Thomas can't believe his eyes when he notices little Toni. A kid in uniform? Toni is sent to the Austrian camp. There he meets Franz.
