Episode Description:
Subaru finds himself back in Japan without his memories of Lugnica, causing him to revert into a Hikikomori. Every day, his father, Kenichi, and mother, Naoko, try to encourage him to go back to school, but to no avail. Something is different this time, however, as Subaru finds himself having headaches whenever he tries to run from his problems. Seeing something is off, Kenichi takes his son for a walk. The headaches are eventually revealed to be Subaru's suppressed memories, and, after recalling everything, he comes clean to his father: growing up, Subaru was always compared to his father but found himself unable to live up to that image, leaving him without an identity of his own. Subaru tells his father that he wanted him to abandon him but also assures him that he has finally found people who accept him, and the two reconcile. The next day, Subaru prepares to go to school and his mother wishes him well, which saddens him as he knows he will likely never see his parents again. Subaru then goes to school, where he finds Echidna waiting for him.
