Episode Description:
Outside the trial, Shima reveals to Subaru and the group that, having undergone the trial herself, she has experienced some of the memories of the original Ryuzu Meyer. Several generations ago, the young Ryuzu befriended Beatrice and hung out with her anytime her 'mother', Echidna, was busy, and how she eventually encountered a young Roswaal, to Subaru's surprise. Back in Emilia's trial, Fortuna and Petelgeuse protect Emilia from Regulus, only to be shocked by the arrival of a white-haired girl named Pandora, looking for the 'key' and 'seal'. Petelgeuse tells Fortuna to run with Emilia while he holds them off. He opens a cursed box, granting him the ability of his Unseen Hands to fight back against Regulus, delighting Pandora as she grants him the title of "Sloth" due to his resolve. While they're in a stalemate, Echidna convinces Emilia to face her past self, as she sees Fortuna saying goodbye to her. The two Emilias break down as Fortuna tells her she will always be with her and she'll never be alone, handing her off to Archi to escape. He is attacked by the Black Serpent in the forest, and gets Emilia to escape on her own before he succumbs to the infection. Fortuna arrives to assist Petelgeuse in his fight; Regulus seemingly kills Pandora in frustration when she tells him to calm down, but she suddenly re-appears, sending him away, as the two get ready to fight her. Wanting to save everyone, Emilia heads to the 'seal', where she's faced with Pandora in front of it.
