However, after seeing his friends on their way to the festival, Thomas gets impatient and speeds up, but accidentally breaks the bulb when he comes across some tracks under repair. He collects a new bulb and goes very slowly, knowing he will miss the festival. After delivering the light bulb, Thomas sees the lighthouse, the lights from the ships at sea, and the reflections of the moon and the stars in the sea from the top of Gordon's Hill, and he thinks they are as wonderful as the fireworks.
