Mary identifies Tetsuro's new voice box is the work of her brother, Victor. Theodore admits to Juzo that he used to be Five's Hands, but he was ordered to hand Five over to the military after the war. Because the military planned to dispose of him, Five escaped and started a Gun Slave unit rebellion which Juzo was hired to put down, killing his former comrades. Tetsuro tells Mary that of the thirteen Gun Slave Units which survived the war, only four still exist; two imprisoned in Wunder Bender, one (Seven) with Berühren and Juzo (Thirteen).
