Episode Description:
Pirate Captain Silver comes to the fort with a white flag. He makes an offer to Captain Smallet: he demands the treasure map and will let him and the others live in return. Of course, Captain Smallet refuses, but Silver has another trump card: he had his people bring a cannon up a mountain at night, with which he can easily hit the fort. Silver gives Smallet until the evening. Captain Smallet thinks it better to get out of the fort and hide somewhere on the island. He lets Jim out of the fort to find Ben Gunn the hermit and ask him about a suitable place for the seven people. However, as Jim escapes from the fort, Joyce, one of the six remaining men in the fort, is shot dead by the pirates. Jim searches for Ben Gunn until the evening without finding him. On the way back to the fort, he surprisingly passes the pirates' cannon and finds it unguarded. He discovers that it isn't real - the pirates simply used a tree trunk as a dummy. He throws the wrong cannon down the slope so the people in the fort don't have to fear an attack anymore. Nevertheless, they are then attacked by the pirates.
