Because she did not inherit any of her father's spiritual powers, she asked Natori to check around the house because she feels something is wrong and a spirit may be out to hurt her father. Takashi is attacked by an old woman who is, in fact, an old woman-looking yōkai who recognizes him as Keeper of the Book of Friends, which Natori pretends not to have heard.
