However, a Ray-Type Heterodyne reappears from the ocean and moves towards the shore. PR Division worker Akagi Shunsuke is insistent that he and his co-workers should pilot the robot for the purpose it was meant for and convinces his co-pilots Ibuki Momoi and Keiichiro Aoyama to activate Dai-Guard. Against the objections of the higher-up officials, the engage the Heterodyne with Dai-Guard and manage to force it back into the sea.
