Episode Description:
Kudo recalls in a dream that two months after arriving in Kowloon, he learned from Kujirai B that he was working in the second wall city that was illegally recreated after the original one was demolished in 1994. Reiko wakes up in Kudo's apartment. Meanwhile, Miyuki and Gwen go into the walled city with Gwen noticing the unusual changes, such as Hebinuma eyedrops being marketed as new despite being out for three years and Reiko's beauty mark. That night, Reiko and Yaomay have dinner and Yaomay mentions in a since-deleted online post that clone research is being conducted with the Generic Terra project called the Zirconian Project. Yaomey shows Reiko her zirconian ring that shines like a diamond to let her know that even though she is a fake, she can still sparkle like the real thing. The next day, Reiko, Kudo, Yaomay, and Xiaohei get together at Xiaohei's new apartment to celebrate, and Yaomay encourages Reiko to move despite having no desire to do so. The next day, Kudo plays mahjong with friends, but without Chan, who was summoned by Miyuki to his clinic for an impromptu checkup. Miyuki calls one of his men to escort somebody into the walled city, but upon entering, Chan disappears, and Miyuki sends them away. Afterwards, Miyuki tells Gwen that his clone is likely gone, and that he is looking into Kudo through the Japanese branch of the company. Miyuki asks how Kujirai B died, but refuses to answer. While looking for Chan, Kudo asks Reiko how much she knows about the original Kujirai, and Reiko responds by saying that Gwen told her she is dead. In response, Kudo appears to have a brief mental breakdown as he tells Reiko that he killed her, shocking Reiko.
