In a desert area of the United States, a gang of criminals specializing in the theft of diamonds rages. During a chase, a law enforcement patrol is attacked by two mysterious tentacles and the CIA enlisted the help of the Throwing Squad who set off instantly. Having landed in a ghost town in the Grand Canyon, the three pilots are attacked by an army of outlaws; in reality they are soldiers of the Demon Empire, whose captain is building a fearsome rifle whose principle is based on the use of diamonds. During a night pursuit Ryo is captured while Hayato discovers the construction of the enemy weapon; Mikiru, sent by the professor, saves the pilot of the Getta Dragon who, together with his companions, returns on board the shuttle to form the Getta Robot. The heroes raid the enemy base and manage to destroy the enemy rifle; the captain of the demons, full of anger, takes command of the Demon Robot, bringing the Getta Robot to its knees. But thanks to a courageous resistance, good triumphs: the enemy is defeated and the Getta Team can repatriate in peace.
