The episode begins with Karuma talking to Anju about some hidden powers within the latter and that he must release them for the next battle, when trying to do so, Souma comes to mind, saying that he must forget about him. On the other hand, in the Enno Temple they celebrate the New Year, in that a woman arrives with her son, Tsutomu, who asks if he will be received in a private school, upon receiving a positive answer they leave but on the way they are intercepted by a dark fog. Saki devises a plan to take it from him and sends Souma along with Chiaki on a huge kite, the latter learns the spell to control the wind and manages to get closer and summons Zenki. Finally, the guardian warrior destroys the seed and the beast.
