Edo, Fukagawa district. A brother and a sister run a loan house there called Izumoya. They rent everything there, but a strange rumor goes around about it: their objects, long pampered, are in fact tsukumogami, kami for rent. Katsusaburô, a samurai called to take the head of the famous Hachiya family, wants them to find a cleat that was stolen from him.
