Episode Description:
Knives makes contact with the Core to birth a new generation of Independents. Meryl pleads with Vash to wake up, and her voice ultimately causes him to regains his senses, ejecting Knives from the higher dimension. Knives then battles Vash for control of the Core as Wolfwood takes Meryl to safety. Eventually, Vash loads the Core into his gun and fires it into space to safely dispose of its energy, but Knives dives into the beam to try and recover it, but fails and is presumably killed...
