Episode Description:
While the Atelier visits a village suffering from drought, Kurt remembers saving a girl called Hildegard who ate poisonous berries. At the village, Kurt connects their empty reservoir to an underground spring to help the local wildlife, and the villagers gift them baskets of waterfowl eggs. Lieselotte and Alreid visit Taicone, who insists on having their anonymous Meister named Viceroy of the Frontier despite Lieselotte's protests, since this would require Kurt to appear in public. Mimico discovers that Tristan was assassinated by unknown accomplices. One of Kurt's eggs mysteriously hatches a three-year-old girl that looks exactly like him and accepts him, Yulicia and Lieselotte as her "parents". Yulicia is certain she is a monster, but Kurt defends her and names her Akuri. Yulicia passes Akuri's DNA to Phantom to identify her species, and Kurt builds a bedroom for her that doubles as a mythril-reinforced cell to prevent her escape if she turns violent. Somehow, Akuri escapes anyway and hides on the carriage heading to their next job: defeat the Demon King.
