Yoshiki finds a note about “nuki-sama,” believed to be Nonuki-sama; Hikaru’s grandfather recognizes it, mentions a “murder village,” then passes out. At school, Yoshiki learns Asako lost hearing from Hikaru’s attack, and the class witnesses a possessed man’s suicide, reinforcing Asako’s claim that Hikaru is possessed and supernatural events are increasing. Research reveals Nonuki-sama was once a blessing god turned curse, possibly tied to past disappearances. Tanaka befriends Yoshiki, notices he has mixed with the entity, and lets him go. Hikaru admits the piece he gave Yoshiki could kill him if broken, and when Tanaka’s impurity attacks and Hikaru collapses, Rie rescues them.
