Still in a coma, Kirito is haunted by painful memories of his past while Vassago threatens to kill all Japanese players and UW residents until he awakens. Hearing Yuuki's words of encouragement, Asuna rises up again and pushes the enemy back, almost defeating him. However, Vassago siphons the energy around him to restore himself and takes control of the red players, ordering them to attack. Meanwhile, Higa realizes that Asuna, Sinon and Leafa's Fluctlights combined are not sufficient enough to bring Kirito back, until a fragment of Eugeo's own Fluctlight reaches Kirito, giving him the final push he needs to overcome his guilt and restore his Fluctlight...
