Knuckles becomes the temporary mayor while Mayor Fink is out of town, but his new policies cause chaos throughout the village. This episode provided the source for the popular internet trend "Meme Approved". In one scene, a villager asks Knuckles "with whom do I speak about adding a new wing to the library?", to which he replies "with me", before stamping a piece of paper and approving the deed. Fans however mistook his fancy way of saying "me" for the word "meme", therefore starting a trend across the internet where the "with me; approved" part plays and the scene freezes after Knuckles stamps the paper, while a message saying “Congratulations, your meme has been approved” appears. Variants of it have also been created.
