However, Roman then speeds up the process and is able to summon his Earthbound Immortal, Uru. Thankfully, Jack arrives on time and forms a barrier around the children to stop their souls being sacrificed. Roman then reveals that not only was he an assistant to Yusei's father, but is also Goodwin's brother and the one responsible for the Zero Reverse incident. Yusei manages to deflect one of Uru's attack, but it hits a building Taka, Martha and Trudge were hiding in. In the process of rescuing Taka, Martha falls into the flames of the geoglyph and her soul is fed to the Earthbound Immortal. Yusei summons Stardust Dragon and takes note of the fact that whilst Earthbound Immortals can't be stopped with traps, spells or monsters, they can't be used to defend either. Roman manages to avoid being attacked, but then he swaps himself out with Rally, who sacrifices himself by synchro summoning One Shot Cannon and beating Uru. With life points at zero, Rally disappears.
