Takeru meets Meiya the next day for their outing, but is shocked when Meiya has apparently lost all her memories of him. Yuuko theorizes that since Takeru is a "causality conductor", his very existence is erasing his friends' memories of him. Takeru realizes that he can't interact with his friends anymore, and tries to push Sumika away. However, Sumika refuses to leave him, sensing that he is hurt. Takeru tells Sumika about his ordeals in the alternative world and his attempts to save it, as well as the alternative Marimo's death...
