Orel learns that men should do everything they can to keep their wives happy so God finds listening to their prayers easier. He goes around town asking people how to do that. His teacher is unwilling to answer questions after class, and the librarian decides to protest outside Reverend Putty's church because he's putting these ideas into children's heads. Next he asks his parents; his mother is too busy cleaning, and his father tells him to read magazines written by men who think they know what women want...
