After disarming the shard out of the possessed Jiu-jiu's hands, Shouxue tears Bingyue out of her and almost exterminated him with her powers when Gaojun stopped her, and eventually listened to what he says. Bingyue asks for Shouxue's help with the ghost of his aunt Mingzhu, his lover (because they are of different fathers). When he was beheaded by Yandi during the Luan purge, he was doomed to wander as a ghost. He sees the ghost of Mingzhu, but as if she can't hear him and can't talk to her, preventing her from sending her to Paradise...
