Junpei fights Yuji using his cursed energy technique, Moon Dregs, creating a large shikigami that poisons whoever it touches. Feeling that saving human lives has become pointless and that the heart is redundant, Junpei angrily attacks but falls short when Yuji stops fighting even though he gets stabbed. Mahito arrives and Junpei realizes that he was the villain all along but not before Mahito uses his Idle Transfiguration to turn Junpei into a disfigured creature. Yuji asks for Sukuna's help to heal Junpei, but Sukuna laughs at him...
