Shuichi and Claire head to the forest near the mountain where the warring Gatherers visit. They meet Sanbe, who reveals he has no interest in more coins as he already received the inhuman strength he wanted and wants to test himself against monsters. Shuichi attacks first before Claire can stop him, and they are overpowered. Claire tries to end the fight by admitting they are weaker, but he decides to kill them while finding all coins and becoming stronger than him. Claire draws a pistol and damages his arm, so he reverts into a human and forfeits the battle...
