Dororo and Hyakkimaru arrive at a deserted village with only one girl inhabitant called Ochii. She tells them that the villagers went to the mountains to look for gold and never returned. Ochii tells them she knows the location of the gold and Dororo eagerly goes with her to see it. Dororo grabs a bag full of gold, while Hyakkimaru who has followed Dororo into the mountains is attacked by the demon Momonga and falls into a river...
