Castle in the SkyAccording to the story's premise, human fascination with the sky prompted increasingly sophisticated ways of lifting aircraft from the ground; ultimately including flying cities and fortresses, of which most were later destroyed during an unspecified catastrophe, forcing the survivors to live on the ground as before.
