Touka stops Marguerite at the last possible second by realising Leland is not a necromancer, he just uses a crystal that manipulates the dead. Touka exposes the crystal which Marguerite smashes. Leland is captured but a demon appears with the defeated Siruela. Touka has his skull broken and dies. Having fallen in love with him Marguerite cries enough tears that Touka’s body regenerates and he uses the hero’s sword to kill the demon.
