The story now focuses on a boy named Yang Cheng who lost his parents at a young age from thieves but was saved by the hero E-Soul. Sixteen years later he works as an E-Soul actor at a children's theater. He gets hired by his crush Xia Qing, who does not know his real identity, to be a personal entertainer for her little brother Pomelo. The two actually bond as Pomelo helps him prepare for a competition to be a part of E-Soul's hero anniversary presentation. However, his zero trust value results in him losing. Still too afraid to confess his feelings towards Xia Qing and sad over his loss, he leaves. Pomelo finds him only to get kidnapped shortly after. Cheng chases after them and causes the kidnapper's van to crash into a ravine. He gets badly beaten but shocks the kidnappers due to the damaged wiring in his costume. Seeing Cheng's determination inspires Pomelo and grants Cheng his first trust value, unlocking electric powers similar to the real E-Soul. Cheng gets Pomelo home and is about to show himself to Qing but instead one of the judges from the competition arrive and says he is here for him.
