The Diviner reveals to Gwyn that he was sent from the future to prevent the destruction of their people after first contact with Starfleet caused a civil war; he plans to destroy Starfleet with a computer virus onboard the Protostar. Zero reveals their true form to the Diviner, driving him mad, while Gwyn sees Zero's reflection and loses her memory of the Diviner's plan...
