A massive stone abomination is seen destroying a ship off the coast of a Japanese city. The event is witnessed from afar by a young man named Alma Tandoji, who goes into violent convulsions after being exposed to a mysterious light. Later that day, after some odd events at school Alma is approached by a young girl named Ruri. She begs Alma to help her stop the creature that tore up the ship and others like it, calling them "Dark Stones". However, when her butler begins revealing the info he has on Alma he snaps...
