He takes Murdoch and the others into a citizens housing area and demonstrates that there is no practical way to feed everyone and asks them to cease getting in the military's way. Now knowing how Rihito will become Licht they cannot decide how to proceed since both they and their home country of Alcia will never exist unless Licht wins the Waste War. Murdoch demands hand to hand training from Alan, deciding he must defeat Alan in his future and become Supreme Commander in his place...
