In thanks of helping her find Kenshin, Kaoru tells Misao all of what she knows about Aoshi. As this happens, Okina is visited by Aoshi who requests him Kenshin's location but he is denied of such information. Having chased after him, Sojiro and the rest of the Swords take Aoshi to Shishio's hideout. As Aoshi is against joining Shishio's forces, he is still instead convinced of becoming allies to give him Kenshin's location in exchange of betraying the remaining Oniwaban.
