A reluctant Shinichi helps Kouji's father create a barrier to prevent Kiyoka, but he destroys it with ease and single handedly. Kouji's father creates a whirlwind and attacks Kiyoka, but he relentlessly repells it and defeats him. Kouji tells Kiyoka where Miyo is being held. Kouji's father attacks Kouji and Kiyoka once more, but his fire powers put the Saimori residence in blazes. Kiyoka strikes Kouji's father with lightning, rendering him unconscious. Kaya gets impatient at Miyo's persisent refusal and tries to force her to do it, but Kiyoka arrives in time. Miyo becomes relieved over Kiyoka's rescue before she goes unconscious. Kanako becomes devestated and breaks down upon seeing their home on fire. Kiyoka confronts Kaya, who tells him that she just wanted to correct the mistake and that she is better than Miyo. He silences Kaya and tells her that he did not want to marry an arrogant woman like Kaya after hearing it out from her. A frustrated Kaya tells Kouji to forget her and leave her, but he refuses and tells her that will make Miyo cause more pain if Kaya dies, and he did not want her to torment Miyo ever again. Miyo dreams of her mother, who tells her to believe in herself and her power within her. Elsewhere, the Emperor gets displeased over Kouji's father's failure and grants Arata's permission to deal with the Kudo family and Miyo as their particular target. Miyo wakes up to find Kiyoka and Yurie by her side, much to her relief.
