Gabriel offers all of them dinner while Raimi and Oran grow suspicious of this coincidence. Gabriel later reveals that he used curare in the wine he served them, making them unable to move or speak but still conscious of his ongoing revelations. He then reawakens Shandala's forgotten traumas. Afterwards, he leaves with Shandala.
