Because Koshirou has been blinded, Hyouma's Dōjutsu has no effect on him, and Koshirou manages to use his whirlwind technique to hit Hyouma. As Hyouma stands, mortally wounded, he thinks back to the time when he was asked by Danjou to teach Gennosuke the Dōjutsu technique and how he became Gennosuke's mentor.
