Meanwhile, Gérman tries to stop Mendoza, but is attacked by Horrors. He severs Mendoza’s left arm, planning to use it to open a gateway for his son to gain entry, but he is then attacked by a multitude of Horrors. Meanwhile, León, Alfonso and Ema break though an outer seal to Mendoza's lair, but are caught in a spell and find themselves sent far into the future. Ema manages detect Mendoza's devices to break the spell, returning them to the present. Inside, the wounded Gérman fights a losing battle against the Horrors to hold the gateway open. León and Alfonso physically break through Mendoza's barriers, so Octavia asks Mendoza to turn her into a Horror to defeat them and thus enable him to fulfil his objective.
