The Kotobuki Squadron and their Hayabusa fighters are hired by the commanders of a zeppelin transporter to protect it from pirates, to the dismay of the all-male Nazarin Squadron, even though the young women have 200 confirmed stars among them. When the zeppelin is attacked by A6M2b Zero-equipped pirates, both squadrons are scrambled and the Kotobuki Squadron demonstrates its fighting ability while the Nazarin Squadron loses three of its Kawanishi N1K1-j Shiden fighters...
