Nonoka reminisces how meeting Sayo inspired her love of climbing. Back in the present, the Hanamiya girls and their rivals are at the Kanto Bouldering Championship. During the competition, the captains of the rival teams use their respective strengths while they are climbing. When it is the Hanamiya girls' turn, Sayo, Konomi, and Jun do well. However, Nonoka's height prevents her from reaching the top.
