After the battle at the Grand Crevasse, the members of Squad 13 are left by themselves on standby at Mistilteinn in the ruins of Plantation 13. They do not realize that their new environment is part of an experiment by Dr. Franxx. Most of the services are suspended except for a weekly delivery of supplies and they have no external contact, forcing the Parasites to manage by themselves.
