Shunsui orders the remaining Soul Reapers to regroup at safe locations, with Mayuri's coordination. Kensei activates his Bankai, Tekken Tachikaze to pummel Mask with. After a fleeting victory, Kensei is broken down and critically injured by Mask, who has risen due to James' cheering. After the wounded Hisagi warns them of James' role, Rose steps in and kills the fan, before activating his Bankai, Kinshara Butōdan. Mask is repeatedly attacked by a flurry of fire and water attacks, but realizes there should not exist a Zanpakutō that could control both...
