Mars has a flashback about the girl, Fana, who hoped that she would be allowed to go outside. Mars promised her that they would see the world together, but they were forced to duel to the death. He killed Fana accidentally, in self-defense. Fana's grimoire was stitched to Mars', giving him fire and crystal magic. He intends to kill Asta and Mimosa. Yuno desperately casts a random spell from his grimoire, and time freezes. A tiny elf appears and casts a wind spell which hurls Mars into a wall...
