Maimai Yuzuriha, a fan of Franchouchou, seemingly dies when she blunders into the men's bath at the local public bathhouse and slips on a bar of soap dropped by Kotaro. Awakening after Kotaro brings her to the mansion to be resurrected, she is revealed to have simply been unconscious, and discovers the girls' undead status. Unfazed by her discovery and determined to emulate her idols' success, Maimai convinces Kotaro to let her join Franchouchou so she can help keep their secret. The group grows to accept Maimai despite her inexperience, and agrees to her suggestion of performing at her school's cultural festival, where they plan to unveil her as their eighth member...
